Also if anyone wants my nuvi with the window mount I will send it to you for what ever it cost to ship it, but don't get mad at me if it gets lost on the way!

I have a nuvi and its a piece of crap! It never finds sattelites, my buddies Tom Tom was cheaper and it works a thousand times better! another friend of mine threw his nuvi out the window while going 70 mph for the same reason! They are junk, I have tried every download etc. nothing seems to work but every once in blue moon it comes on and works perfect. I am going to send it back to Garmin with an adress taped to it and if they get it to navigate to the right spot they will be able to take the sign down on the side of the hwy that I'm putting up that says ,"Welcome to Garmin now your really lost!"

Hi
Just bought a Nuvi 200w and went online to register it. The Garmin site asked to update its firmware which I did and since then the machine no longer talks or makes any noise. Took it back and got a replacement but now do not trust connecting it incase it happens again. Is there a fault with the firmware or did I just have a dodging sat nav.

Regards

Ongelukkig werk hierdie "Link" nie. Blykbaar is dit onder konstruksie - ek sit met dieselfde probleem en wonder waar ek anders POI vir spoedkameras kan aflaai?

Hi there ,

The WebUploader version looks outdated at " http://www8.garmin.com/support/collection.jsp?product=999-99999-27 "
The download is called - WebUpdater for Windows Ver. 2.4.1 as of Apr 03, 2007 Download
So was the error fixed on the Garmin server side? Or is there a different version to download.
Alternatively tried to download the .exe file at " http://www8.garmin.com/support/blosp.jsp " but I cant find a Nuvi 200 file at all . . .

Any suggestions?
Thanks for all the support!

My daughter gave me a nuvi 200 for Xmas and compared to the hassels I had with the cfq 1620 compact flash garmin pluin for my hp pda which I never got to work for more than a few minutes this one is excellent. She gave it to me because I have no sense of direction and am forever getting lost. What I am interested in is whether I can load offroad maps -I have seen some software for making this but Garmin local office-Cape Town- indicated as my model is preloaded I would not be able to load hiking maps etc. I was told I could have limited improvement-topographic? if I bought the R49 dvd. Mine takes a sd card but apperently the maps are loaded onto the internal system. Any comments-is there away around it-can one load off roadroute maps ?
