just got a nuvi 255
the software version is 2.90
downloaded webupdater
shows the latest version is 5.00
try to update but stops at 17% with
communication error pops up

also try to update directly from the website
also stuck at 17%

any idea??

Read this info on the process of downloading the POI (Road Safety) database from the Garmap website. You may have done something wrong in the process of unzipping the database files before you loaded them to your unit with the POI Loader program.

i,ve just bought a garmin nuvi 200 in south africa and down loaded the poi loader. i’m still not picking up the fixed cameras on th roads. is there any activation to be done on the actual unit in terms of settings??
