I really wish the speech recognition had been possible in Swedish as well. As for now it can only be used in a handful of languages. Admittedly, me being able to speak a kind of Pidgin English it's not too much of a problem but - just TRY to make the 860 understand where I want to go. It definitely has no knowledge of Swedish placenames, even if they are included in the map. Anything I try seems to end me up somewhere in Britain.

Oh well, I still love the 860 :-)

Glad you're enjoying your unit Andre and thank you for bringing up the point about the firmware updates. Everyone should do a Firmware Update as soon as they get their unit.

You never know how long your pride and joy has been sitting on the shelves in the various warehouses and shops before you get your hands on it and, the rate at which updates come out for the newer units, it is highly possible that there are already updates available for an "out of the box" unit.

Recently purchased this unit and the voice recognition is one of those functions that once you start using, you can't imagine how you ever managed without.

My initial opinion was that the GPS itself was slow but after updating the unit (and there were a lot of updates), the unit started functioning like a dream

Highly recommended for a first time buyer or a Pro
